This is a special collaboration with our partner factory in Madras, India. Our long-term favorite fabric – the original Madras Plaid – is gathered in various design and colors in order to custom-make this patchwork fabric. Unlike the usual patchwork fabrics, ours is incorporated in the solid navy frame. This shirt is made with the fine Cotton lining so that raw edge of the patchwork doesn’t show inside and it makes the shirt more comfortable to wear even directly on your skin. Style-wise, the Vacation Shirt is named so because this shirt is often worn off the clock to give the impression of being on vacation. The collar has an additional pattern piece at the center and its shape has a slightly-altered edge comparing to its matching counterpart. This works as a collar stand, giving it a better roll while maintaining the look of an open collar. The sleeve hem is finished with separate notched facing. Two pleats are added to the back of the body to provide more room for better mobility.
