Triple Tuck Wide Half Pants

The Triple Tuck Wide Half Pants come out of the same tailoring tradition that produced the most confident silhouettes of the 1950s avant garde. The wide, generous trouser of that era understood volume and drape as the highest expression of a well-built pant. The tailors who built those trousers were working through something real: that volume at the thigh and a clean break above the knee produced a kind of effortless authority that longer trousers in a slimmer cut could never replicate. The half pant takes that same architecture, the same pleat structure, the same wide cut through the thigh, and stops it above the knee. The result is a summer garment with the DNA of serious tailoring, wearing the ease of a short but carrying none of the casualness that word usually implies. This is a considered reimagination, not a simplification.

Those pleats open outward toward the pockets, fanning away from center rather than folding in, which creates a wider, more generous spread across the front of the pant and gives the wide cut its signature flair at rest and in motion. An extended zipper fly closes with a YKK zipper and hook and eye at the top, a waist construction that distributes tension evenly and keeps the front face smooth under the pleat structure. Military-standard melamine buttons appear at the waist, a signature Monitaly detail chosen for their resistance to cracking and their clean, considered finish. Slash pockets at the front are reinforced with bar tacks at each corner, locking the pocket opening against the stress of daily use. At the back, two welt pockets are finished with high-count top stitching along the opening, with bar tacks and triangle stitching reinforcing each end, a level of pocket construction that treats the back of the garment with the same seriousness as the front.

One per size was produced in each fabric. This is the complete run.
