50's Milano Shirt S/S

The 50's Milano Shirt S/S starts where American casual dressing was at its best. The 1950s produced a particular kind of shirt, one where the collar had personality, the chest pockets earned their place, and the whole thing sat on the body with a relaxed confidence that no one has fully improved on since. This shirt goes back to that moment and builds it properly, with the Italian construction discipline that era gestured at but rarely achieved.

The Italian collar is the detail worth understanding. There is no collar stand underneath it. Instead, extra top-stitching is worked directly into the fabric to carry the structure, a far more demanding approach that produces a roll-down with genuine refinement, soft where it should be soft, held where it needs to hold. A second button closure at the top of the placket locks it exactly where you want it. Military-standard melamine buttons run the full front, chosen because they do not crack, do not fade, and look better the longer they are on the shirt. The two chest patch pockets sit positioned to carry weight and close securely, utility built into the front of the shirt rather than added as an afterthought. Double-needle flat-felled seams finish every seam throughout. The inside of this shirt is as clean as the outside.

One per size was made. The Ikat Black Leopard does not get reordered. This is everything that exists.
